Reiki Healing Stones: The Gift of Crystals and Their Healing Properties

I love crystals and Reiki Healing Stones. My partner and I have them in almost every room of our home.  As a Reiki practitioner and Crystal Energy Healer I have found that their companionship in my life is a true blessing.

In this article we are going to discuss crystals. How to enhance their qualities so they can become a Reiki Healing Stone. And how to incorporate the stones into your Reiki practice and your daily life.

What is a Reiki Healing Stone?

Reiki Healing Stones are crystals that a Reiki practitioner has channeled healing energy into. They will do this to give a crystal a specific healing purpose. It could be for helping with migraines, chronic back pain, or giving a person balance in a specific chakra

For instance, someone may be struggling with depression. A Reiki practitioner will choose a crystal that aids with emotional balance such a Tiger’s Eye. They will then hold the stone in their hands and channel into it with the specific intention of helping the individual break free from depression. The practitioner can also focus on helping the recipient be more balanced and at peace.

What is a Crystal?

Crystals are natural solids made from minerals. They are formed in the outer most layer of Mother Earth.

They have been used for centuries by many civilizations.

In ancient Egypt, Pharaohs where buried with them.

In the Bible, God instructed Moses to have skilled craftsmen make a breast plate to be used by his brother Aaron that had 12 crystals embedded into the front of it. This breast plate was to be worn by Aaron, Israel’s first priest, to aid him in making decisions. Exodus chapter 28

Crystals have also been used in science and technology. They have been shown to have vibrations within them. They exhibit both piezoelectric and pyroelectric effects. This gives them the ability (such as with Quartz) to be used in watches and computer chips.

People who work in energy healing such as Reiki and Pranic Healing have long understood that crystals influence the body’s energy system and chakras. They will place them on or around individuals while they channel healing energy, believing that the crystals aid in the healing process. It’s like having a trusted friend working alongside of yourself.

How to make Reiki Healing Stones

There are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

1) What Does the Recipient Need the Stone For?

Intention is a word you will hear Reiki practitioners use often. It is one of the corner stones of the practice. It is also very important when creating a Reiki Healing Stone.

The practitioner needs to know what they are creating the stone for. Is it for balancing a chakra? Does the individual need it to aid in healing a specific body part? Does the recipient want to use it to help clear negative energy from their home? Is the person a blogger who is suffering from writers block and needs a boost of creativity? Does the individual have problems with digestion?

Once you have established what the stone is to be used for you must choose the correct crystal.

2) Choosing the Correct Crystal

This could feel like a daunting task at first. Whether you are choosing from crystals you have on hand or going to a metaphysical store you will need to do some research.

As a Crystal Healer I have numerous books in my library that aid in this decision. The internet can also help you in this process. Someone who works in a metaphysical shop can also guide you to multiple crystals that can be beneficial.

Every crystal has its own properties. In most instances the color of the crystal also correlates with what chakra it’s intended for.  For instance a Green Aventurine is commonly used for the heart chakra. It is good for creativity and motivation. Physically it can be used to treat muscle, heart and adrenal gland issues. Spiritually it can calm and sooth emotions and aid in relaxation.

At this point I’m going to say let your feelings guide you.

Pick the crystal your interested in using up and see how it feels in your hand.

Once you are holding one you like the physical feel of close your eyes and really focus on it. Channel into it and see how it responds. Do you sense the crystal’s energy? Do you feel drawn to it? If not try another one.

Once you have decided on the crystal that feels right it is time to prepare it.

3) Preparing the Crystal to become a Reiki Healing Stone

Before you channel into the crystal and make it into a Reiki Healing Stone you need to prep it first.

Washing Crystals

I personally like to wash them first. Other people who have handled the crystal may have had lotion on their hands or other substances that are not good for the surface of the crystal.

Some crystals can deteriorate when exposed to water. Do some research on the particular crystal you have purchased before moving forward. If it is a crystal that can be washed with water do so with a mild all natural detergent and warm water.  Afterwards rinse it thoroughly and either let it air dry or pat it dry.

Charging a Crystal

Next you will want to make sure it is fully charged (this is also referred to as being cleansed). This may sound strange, but crystals do hold energy and just like you that energy can be depleted.

You can charge a crystal in a few different ways. Here are some of them.

1) Place it in sunlight or outside when the moon is full for a few hours.

2) Smudge it with Sage or a Palo Santo stick.

3) Place it near a salt lamp for 24 hours.

4) If you can take it to a Vortex.

5) Reiki practitioners can also charge crystals by channeling into them.

4) Transforming a Crystal into a Reiki Healing Stone

Visualize who you are making the Reiki Healing Stone for. Look at a photograph of them or write their name if it helps.

Place the crystal in your hand and concentrate on the intent of what you want to do. Now channel that intent into the crystal.

Along with the intent also focus on love, healing and pure white light.

Go into a meditative state if you feel led to.

How long you channel can vary. I usually like to do so for 5 to 10 minutes. Let the Universe be your guide.

When you feel led to stop, thank the Universe for the blessing of being used to create this new Reiki Healing Stone.

How to use a Reiki Healing Stone

Personal Use

If the person who the stone was created for is using it on their own there are multiple ways they can utilize it.

  1. While laying down or seated, they can hold or place the stone on the area of their body that needs the extra attention. Focus on why it was created, and ask the stone to bless them with its healing properties.
  2. The stone can be held or placed near them while they meditate.
  3. It can be placed on their night stand by their bed while they sleep.
  4. They can carry it in their pocket or purse.
  5. If its for assistance at work they can keep it on their desk.
  6. If the stone is for help in a marriage or relationship they can keep it near themselves (perhaps in their pocket) while spending time with their partner.

During a Healing Session

A healing practitioner, whether it be Reiki, Pranic or another form, can use the healing stone during a session. A Reiki Healing Stone can be utilized the same way as a regular crystal. Just be conscious of its intended use while practicing.

  1. Place it near or on the body part that needs healing and ask it to channel along with you.
  2. If the stone was created to help balance a Chakra place it near the Chakra.

Are Crystals the Only Thing You can Channel Reiki into for Healing Purposes?

You can channel Reiki into a variety of things. Here is a list of some of the things and reiki crystal products that the Universal Life Energy can be channeled into.

  1. Reiki Bracelets
  2. Necklaces
  3. Bath Water
  4. Reiki Healing Candles
  5. Pets
  6. Plants
  7. Essential Oils
  8. Bath Salts
  9. You can also purchase a reiki crystal set that can be used for a reiki crystal grid.

Conclusion

Reiki should never be used as a substitute for medical care or psychological treatment. It is meant to be used as an aid in your treatment. I believe it can work wonders in people’s and animal’s lives. But if you have a medical issue please go see a professional first before you explore alternative therapies.

Reiki Healing Stones and other objects that have had Reiki channeled into them can have multiple benefits. If you are interested in purchasing a Reiki Healing Stone please reach out to a Reiki practitioner in your area.
